How To Mend A Creature

How To Mend A Creature is a self-directed collaborative project with QIAA, developed around the theme of healing for the Annual Red Carpet Gala 2025 Pratt Digital Art Exhibition.

Healing is rarely linear or perfect. In attempting to repair ourselves, we may attach the wrong pieces, force things to fit, or unintentionally cause further harm. This piece visualizes that emotional confusion and uncertainty.

The audience is invited to attach and rearrange parts of the creature. Through this interaction, participants mimic the act of healing without knowing which pieces are truly missing or what actually needs repair. The result is often a distorted recovery, reflecting how healing can be messy, fragile, and deeply human.
